What are Scullcap and Valerian Sugar Coated Tablets

Scullcap and Valerian Sugar Coated Tablets are designed to help your dog to relax using natural ingredients and with no drowsiness. The tablets are for oral use only and contain valerian, scullcap, mistletoe and gentian.

The Scullcap and Valerian Tablets support naturally the calming pathways in your dog’s nervous system. Importantly, anxiety is reduced without the effect of causing drowsiness or immobilising muscles. 

The tablets can help your dog deal with phobias about noise such as storms or fireworks, anxiety over separation, getting settled into a new home, travelling, hyperactivity or any situation which is made worse by a heightened state of nervousness or anxiety. 

It is recommended they are given daily, dividing the recommended amount into two sections and giving half in the morning and the other half in the evening. Ideally, it is advised the tablets are given every day for three weeks, along with consistent and gentle behavioural work and training.

The 400mg tablets come in 100, 200 and 500-tablet packs.

How do Scullcap and Valerian Sugar Coated Tablets work?

There are four ingredients in Scullcap and Valerian Sugar Coated Tablets. Valerian aids the support of the natural relaxant pathways in the nervous system, without affecting the muscles. Scullcap has some important compounds, including those which stick to the GABA receptor and so reduce anxiety. Mistletoe helps circulations and also supports calming pathways in the nervous system. Gentian has the effect of supporting the other natural compounds which are active and also assists the maintenance of normal liver function.

It is important that as soon as you receive and open the medication, you read and understand the instructions, especially on the recommended dose.
