What is Otoclean?
Otoclean is a soothing and non-irritant liquid cleansing solution for cats and dogs’ ears. It helps support and maintain good ear hygiene and can help dissolve cerumen (the technical term for earwax) and remove other forms of debris. Its active ingredients are Salicylic and Lactic Acids. It should be directly applied to a cat or dog’s ear, and each box contains eighteen 5ml vials.
Otoclean contains a specially formulated blend of keratolytic, ceruminolytic, emollient, cleansing, and hydrating ingredients.
What are the benefits of using Otoclean?
Hearing is a key sense for cats and dogs, and far more acute than is the case in humans. Accordingly, losses in hearing will be felt to a greater extent. Otoclean provides cat and dog owners with a product that is convenient, easy to administer, and effective at removing problematic build-ups of cerumen (the technical term for earwax) while remaining kind to potentially sensitive skin.
Otoclean’s primary benefit is that it can dissolve cerumen, thus being able to dislodge persistent lumps of earwax. It is also suitable for maintaining ear hygiene on an ongoing basis.
How to use Otoclean
Otoclean should be directly applied to the inside of your cat and dog’s ear canal, which is then to be gently massaged. Any excess of Otoclean can be wiped away with a piece of gauze or ball of cotton wool. Treatment should be repeated for eight consecutive days once every twenty four hours.
Small and medium animals should be given half a vial of Otoclean in each ear in a single dosage, whereas larger animals should receive a full vial in each ear in each dosage.
If your cat or dog has a known allergy or intolerance to any of Otoclean’s ingredients, then this product should be avoided.
