Moxiclear Spot-On Solution for Cats, Dogs and Ferrets is for the treatment of flea and mite infestations in cats, ferrets and dogs of all sizes. The active ingredients are imidacloprid and moxidectin. The solution comes with a pipette for accurate measuring and is applied directly on to the animal’s skin at the base of the skull or between the shoulder blades.
It is used to treat cats and dogs at risk or suffering with mixed parasitic infections including fleas, ear mites, mange, heartworm and the treatment of infections with gastrointestinal nematodes. In ferrets, it is suitable for the prevention and treatment of flea infestation and to prevent heartworm disease.
There are six different products in this range split into the following: small cats and ferrets, large cats, small dogs, medium dogs, large dogs and very large dogs. Choose the one suitable for your pet, depending on its size and follow the dosage schedule as recommended by your vet. It is important that you follow the instructions from your vet on how long to continue the treatment and when to stop.

How does Moxiclear Spot-On Solution for Cats, Dogs and Ferrets work?
The active ingredients are imidacloprid and moxidectin. Imidacloprid works on fleas and other parasites by disrupting the nerve signals to paralyse and subsequently kill them. This medicine can be far more effective than conventional flea treatments as it kills the fleas on contact, rather than needing for the parasite to first feed on your pet to start working.
Moxidectin treats ectoparasites and infestations such as ticks and fleas. It binds to the parasite's GABA-A and glutamate-gated chloride ion channels which are vital for its function.
