What are Milbactor® Film-Coated Worming Tablets for Cats and Kittens?

Milbactor® Film-Coated Worming Tablets for Cats and Kittens are wormers for treating a mix of infections of adult nematodes and cestodes. They can also be used to prevent heartworm disease. The version for small cats and kittens with a dose of 4mg/10mg are for cats weighing at least 0.5kg. Milbactor Tablets for Cats with a dose of 16mg/40mg are for cats weighing at least 2kg. They can be given with or after food. 

Depending on the kitten or cat’s weight, the dosing for Milbactor® Film-Coated Worming Tablets for Cats and Kittens (tablets 4mg/10mg) is:

For cats and kitten weighing 0.5kg to 1kg, the dosage is half a tablet

For cats and kitten weighing more than 1kg and up to 2kg the dosage is 1 tablet

The dosing for Milbactor® Film-Coated Worming Tablets for Cats (tablets 16mg/40mg) is:

For cats and kitten weighing between 2kg and 4kg the dose is half a tablet

For cats and kitten weighing between 4kg and 8kg the dose is 1 tablet

For cats and kitten weighing between 8kg and 12kg the dose is one and a half a tablets

How do Milbactor® Film-Coated Worming Tablets for Cats and Kittens work? 

The active ingredients are milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. The anti-parasitic milbemycin oxime works against worms and mites. Praziquantel is an anti-worm medication which helps to prevent newly-hatched insect larvae or worms from enlarging or increasing in your cat or kitten’s body

How to use Milbactor® Film-Coated Worming Tablets for Cats and Kittens

It is important that as soon as you receive and open the medication, you read and understand the instructions, especially with regard to the recommended dose. The tablets are for oral use only and can be given with or after food. It is important that the recommended dosage is the one as instructed by your vet.
