What is Ipakitine?
Ipakitine is a palatable nutritional supplement which supports healthy renal (kidney) function in cats and dogs. It comes in powder form in 60g and 180g tubs. This product should be administered twice daily with your cat or dog’s usual feed for an initial period of up to six months. Dosage sizes vary based on the size of your cat or dog.
The amount of phosphates absorbed by a cat or dog’s intestines may worsen chronic kidney disease when this becomes too high. Ipakitine introduces Chitosan and Calcium Carbonate into your cat or dog’s diet. These phosphate binders reduce phosphate absorption through the intestine which in turn can help manage chronic kidney disease and other issues.
Other ingredients include hydrolysed soy protein and lactose.

How to use Ipakitine
To use Ipaktitine, simply sprinkle the appropriate dosage over your cat or dog’s feed twice a day. 1g is usually administered for each 5kg that your cat or dog weighs which equates to one level measurement from each scooper that comes with a tub of Ipakitine. Plenty of fresh water should always be offered alongside this product.
Ipakatine should be used for an initial treatment period of six months. While it can be used as a long-term treatment, this should be in consultation with your vet.
