Vectin Horse Oral Paste 18.7mg/g is a wormer and treatment for parasites in horses. The active ingredient of the apple flavoured oral paste is Ivermectin. See below for dosage.

Dosage - Administer orally as a single dose to horses at the dose level of 0.2 mg per kilogram of bodyweight. This is the recommended dose. Each syringe holds 120 mg ivermectin, enough to treat 600 kg of bodyweight.

It is aimed at controlling and treating parasites, bots and worms in the stomach and intestines and also lungworms (adult and 4th stage immature), adult hairworms, intestinal and neck threadworms, adult and 4th stage pinworms. It also treats the blood feeding large strongyles and small strongyles which develop on the wall of the horse's intestine.

Parasitic worm infections are not uncommon in horses and are picked up from grazing areas. Symptoms may include a nasty cough, colic and weight loss and it is vital to treat this range of infections to spare your horse any discomfort or pain. Young horses are often more susceptible to lungworm.

The active ingredient is Ivermectin, a parasiticide suitable for treatment internally on your horse. It paralyses and then kills the unwanted nematodes and arthropods inside the horse and the drug later leaves the body naturally.
