Description

What is Royal Canin Canine Urinary S/O?

Royal Canin Canine Urinary S/O helps struvite stones present in your dog’s bladder or urinary to dissolve. The effect it has of diluting the urine makes it less able to form calcium oxalate and struvite stones. Its reduced magnesium levels help to lower the accumulation of the ions which may contribute to struvite crystal formation. It is palatable and comes in the form of dry kibble food.

What are the benefits of using Royal Canin Canine Urinary S/O?

Struvite is a mineral that is commonly produced by bacteria in your pet’s urinary tract. Spotting the symptoms of urinary problems in your dog is sometimes not straightforward, not helped by the fact they may not show any obvious pain or discomfort. There are some behaviours to look out for if there is a problem and you have concerns about your pet’s urinary health. For instance, they may have problems in urinating, have abnormal urine patterns, or their urine may become bloody or cloudy. The most common urinary disorders are oxalate and struvite stones.

Always make sure your pet always has plenty of fresh water available.

Anything which helps dilute your dog’s urine can have the effect of ensuring regular movement of the bladder which can help flush out their bladder, getting rid of any unpleasant bacteria or stones left behind. If you have serious concerns, it is advised to consult your veterinary surgeon for a diagnosis.

Royal Canin Canine Urinary S/O helps to support dilution of the urine. In the diluted state, the urine in your cat is less likely to develop calcium oxalate or struvite stones. This low saturation works to help reduce the accumulation of ions that could make up crystal formation.

The diet food is not suitable if your dog has any of the following: chronic kidney disease, heart disease (when a restriction in sodium is called for), concurrent use of urine-acidifying medication, growth or gestation/lactation.

How much Royal Canin Canine Urinary S/O should I give my pet?

The recommended amount of dry food to be given to your dog each day.
