Panacur Equine Paste 18.75% w/w is an effective treatment used to eliminate gastrointestinal worms in horses. This medicine treats roundworms, including small redworm, large redworm and also roundworm eggs. It’s recommended to use a worming treatment 2-4 times a year to keep your horse healthy and happy.

The ready-to-use oral paste allows for easy dosing, as it comes in a pre-filled syringe and has an apple and cinnamon flavour that your horse will love.

How does Panacur for Horses and Ponies work?

The active ingredient in Panacur for Horses and Ponies Is fenbendazole, which belongs to a group of medicines called broad spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintics. It’s effective against a range of gastrointestinal parasites and it works by disrupting their ability to grow and produce energy. This effectively starves the parasite and kills them. 

Once the worms have been killed, they are then passed in your horse’s stool, but may be unnoticeable as the bowels can destroy them.

When you receive the medication, it’s important to read and understand the dosage instructions. The strength and dose of the medication will depend on the size of your horse.

Always use medications as directed. The medicine comes in a pre-filled syringe of paste and should be administered orally by squeezing the syringe to release the paste into your horse’s mouth. The paste has an apple and cinnamon taste that your horse will enjoy, so dosing should be made simpler.

The dosage guide is one syringe for a horse or pony up to 600kg in body weight. For horses above that threshold, follow the advice of your vet.
