What is Inflacam for horses?
Inflacam 330mg Granules for Horses is for alleviating pain and inflammation in chronic and acute musculo-skeletal disorders in horses. The active ingredient is meloxicam. The flavoured granules come in sachets and are for mixing with your horse's food.
The apple flavoured granules can be mixed with your horse’s food as directed by your veterinary surgeon. The medicine should be sprinkled on around 250g of a muesli-based feed, before feeding to your horse.
Each of the sachets hold a single dose for a horse weighing between 500kg body weight and 600kg body weight. The granules should never be split into smaller amounts and used as doses.

How does Inflacam 330mg Granules for Horses work?
The active ingredient is meloxicam, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug or NSAID. It acts by inhibiting the prostaglandin synthesis. These prostaglandins are substances which trigger the inflammation, pain and fever so the meloxicam has the effect of reducing those responses.
How to use Inflacam 330mg Granules for Horses
It is important that as soon as you receive and open the medication, you read and understand the instructions, especially on the recommended dose. The sachets are for oral use only with food and should not be administered in any other manner.
