What is Hepatosyl?
Hepatosyl is a nutritional supplement for cats and dogs which supports optimal liver function. Hepatosyl is particularly useful supporting liver function when a cat or dog’s liver function may be impaired or reduced. Hepatosyl is orally administered, and comes 50mg, 100mg, and 200mg capsules in packs of 30, 60, and 90.
Hepatosyl’s ingredients are s-adenosylmethionine, silybin (as found in Milk Thistle) and Vitamin E. They are found in different quantities in this product’s various dosages.

How to use Hepatosyl
Hepatosyl should be orally administered for an initial period of once a day at a dosage of approximately 18mg per kg of bodyweight. This should be for two to three months, and then reduced to a rate of every other day for maintenance of hepatic support.
- Cats and dogs weighing 0-4kg should be given one 50mg capsule per day
- Cats and dogs weighing 4-7kg should be given two 50mg capsules per day, or one 100mg capsule per day
- Cats and dogs weighing 7-13kg should be given two 100mg capsules per day, or one 200mg capsule per day
- Dogs weighing 13-20kg should be given three 100mg capsules per day
- Dogs weighing 20-28kg should be given four 100mg capsules per day, or two 200mg capsules per day
- Dogs weighing 28-38kg should be given three 200mg capsules per day
- Dogs weighing over 38kg should be given four 200mg capsules per day
If your cat or dog is receiving Hepatosyl in anticipation of an operation when general anaesthetic is being used, then this product should be administered for a week before and after.
If your cat or dog has any known allergies or intolerances to this product’s ingredients, then it should be avoided.
