The active ingredients in Fortekor Plus Tablets for Dogs are pimobendan and benazepril (as benazepril hydrochloride). Pimobendan helps the heart to contract with more strength and aids the opening of blood vessels up to reduce the strain on the heart. 

Benazepril is an angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, which lowers the production of angiotensin II and decreases blood pressure. These ingredients work together to allow the heart to pump blood around the body with ease, and helps to reduce fluid retention.
