Description

What is Etiderm?

Etiderm is a specially formulated hypoallergenic, antibacterial shampoo for dogs and cats. This product primarily works by helping manage the bacteria existing on skin surfaces. Etiderm combines both cleansing and moisturising properties, and comes in 200ml bottles.

Active Ingredient(s): Contains: Chitosanide, ethyl lactate 10%, benzalkonium chloride, lactic acid and propylene glycol in a shampoo base also containing TEA lauryl sulfate, water, diethenolamine, benzyl alcohol, fragrance, hydroxypropyl cellulose, methyl paraben, and propyl paraben. Chitosanide and ethyl lactate are present in encapsulated (Spherulites®) and free forms. Benzalkonium chloride is present in encapsulated form.

What are the benefits of using Etiderm?

Dermatological problems caused by fungal and bacterial infections such as itching and irritated skin can be unpleasant and cause discomfort in your cat or dog, as well as cause odours owners find distasteful. Etiderm provides pet owners with a product to help support your pets skin and coat. It does not require a veterinary prescription. Etiderm’s ethyl lactate component also serves as a cleansing moisturiser, making this product useful for longer term use too.

How to use Etiderm

Cat and dog owners should initially use Etiderm the same way they would with any other shampoo two to three times a week for an initial treatment period of a month. After this, usage should be reduced to once a week or as per your vet advises.

Whenever washing your cat or dog, it is very important to use warm rather than hot water. Hot water can strip their skin and coat of essential protective oils leading to a rough texture, or dried out skin. Your vet will be able to advise you on how often you should bathe your cat or dog.

If your cat or dog has any known allergies or intolerances to Etiderm’s ingredients, then this product should be avoided. It is also important to avoid your cat or dog’s eyes and mucous membranes when washing it with Etiderm. This product can be used on cats and dogs of any age.
