What is Eqvalan Duo Oral Paste?

Eqvalan Duo Oral Paste is a treatment for parasitic worm infestations in horses, such as roundworms or threadworms. One 7.74g syringe is suitable as a dose for a horse up to 600kg.

The paste is used to treat hairworms, pinworms, intestinal threadworms, large-mouth stomach worms, bots, large strongyles, and adult and immature lungworms. 

It is important to keep on top of treatments for worm infections to keep your horses healthy.

How does Eqvalan Duo Oral Paste work? 

The active ingredients include Ivermectin, which helps control mites and worms. This is an anthelmintic, part of a group of antiparasitic drugs which expel parasitic worms and other internal parasites from the body by either stunning or killing them. Praziquantel is an effective tapeworm treatment. 

Eqvalan Duo comes in a smooth orange paste and is suitable for oral use only. Advice from your vet should be sought on the dose and management procedure to achieve suitable control for infestations.

Instructions for Eqvalan Duo Oral Paste

Once you have received and opened your medication, do make sure you read and the instructions carefully on the dosage and best time of the day to administer it.  

The paste should only be taken orally and your vet will advise on the suitable dosage. This is based on the size of the animal.
