What is Epi-Soothe?
Epi-Soothe is a specially formulated shampoo for cats and dogs. It is intended to supplement the treatment of itchy or mildly irritated skin, but also offers certain benefits making it suitable for regular use. It is pH neutral and apple-scented. Epi-Soothe comes in 250ml bottles.
Epi-Soothe contains Purified water, sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate, cocamidopropyl betaine, lauramide DEA, linoleamide DEA, Spherulites, glycerin, colloidal oatmeal, lauryl glucoside, chitosan succinamide, magnesium aluminum silicate, DMDM hydantoin, d-galactose, d-mannose, l-rhamnose, fragrance, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, and FD&C Blue #1.
What are the benefits of using Epi-Soothe?
Dermatological problems such as itching and irritated skin can be unpleasant and cause discomfort in your cat or dog. In the case of bacterial or fungal infections, these can also cause odours owners find distasteful. As it is pH neutral and soap-free, Epi-Soothe is suitable for cats and dogs with sensitive skin.
How to use Epi-Soothe
Cat and dog owners can wash their pets daily with Epi-Soothe, or as often as their vet directs. First ensure that your pet’s coat has been thoroughly rinsed, then massage Epi-Soothe into their fur ensuring that it is lathered throughout. Allow to remain for up to ten minutes, then rinse clean with warm water.
Whenever washing your cat or dog, it is very important to use warm rather than hot water. Hot water can strip their skin and coat of essential protective oils leading to a rough texture, or dried out skin. Your vet will be able to advise you on how often you should bathe your cat or dog.
If your cat or dog has any known allergies or intolerances to Epi-Soothe’s ingredients, then this product should be avoided. It is also important to avoid your cat or dog’s eyes and mucous membranes when washing it with Epi-Soothe.
