What are Efex Chewable Tablets?
Efex Chewable Tablets are an antibiotic product for cats and dogs. It is indicated for conditions such as skin and soft tissue infections, upper respiratory tract infections, and urinary tract infections. It is orally administered, and comes in chewable tablet form. Its active ingredient is Marbofloxacin, and it comes in dosages of 10mg, 40mg, and 100mg.
Marbofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic which is often used to treat bacterial infections in the skin, bladder, prostate, or kidneys. It is usually given to cats and dogs. It is taken orally, and comes in tablet or liquid form.
Very rare side effects may include vomiting, diarrhoea, and increased thirst.

How to use Efex Chewable Tablets
Efex Chewable Tablets are orally administered at a recommended dosage rate of 1 tablet per 5kg of your cat or dog’s bodyweight. Please use as directed by your veterinary surgeon.
If your cat or dog has any known allergies or intolerances to Efex Chewable Tablets’s ingredients such as quinolones, then this product should be avoided. Efex Chewable Tablets should not be used in dogs younger than twelve months old, or eighteen months in the case of giant breeds (i.e. Great Danes, Deerhounds, and Wolfhounds). Cats younger than sixteen weeks old should not be offered this product, and a low urinary pH may have an inhibitory effect on the activity of Efex's active ingredient.
