Description

What is Cardalis for Dogs?

Cardalis for Dogs (Tablets)

Cardalis is an effective treatment for congestive heart failure in dogs. The tablets contain both benazepril and spironolactone, which means you have to give your dog fewer tablets. The two ingredients can work together to effectively stop deterioration in health.

How does Cardalis for Dogs work?

The active ingredients in Cardalis are benazepril and spironolactone. Benazepril is an angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, which lowers the production of angiotensin II and decreases blood pressure.

Meanwhile spironolactone blocks the action of aldosterone, which increases the elimination of salt and water in the urine. These medicines work together to reduce the strain on the heart and to allow it to pump blood around the body more easily.

How do I use Cardalis for Dogs?

When you receive the medication, it’s important to read and understand the dosage instructions. The strength and dose of the tablet will depend on the size of your dog and the exact details of their condition.

The tablets should be given with food, which can be done either by mixing it in with your dog’s main meal or by mixing it with a small bit of food before a meal. Do not use Cardalis in dogs intended for breeding. Do not use it during pregnancy and lactation.

You should use this product as directed by your veterinary surgeon
