Butazocare Granules Sachet is used to treat horses with musculo-skeletal conditions. It is designed to offer both relief from pain and a reduction in inflammation, particularly where continued mobility is desirable. It may also be prescribed to treat post-surgical inflammation and other soft tissue inflammation.

The medicine can also be used as an antipyretic if recommended by a vet. This could be used, for example, for viral respiratory infections. It is not to be used in food-producing animals

The active ingredient in Butazocare Granules Sachet is Phenylbutazone, which works by inhibiting the body from synthesising substances that facilitate pain and trigger inflammatory responses. It can also suppress the substance that causes a fever, which is why the medicine has a number of benefits.
