Amoxycare Capsules are a medication used to treat bacterial infections in dogs and cats. This includes infections of the respiratory tract, alimentary tract and urogenital tract, ear and eye infections, and skin and wound infections. It is an antibiotic which means that the medication is only effective against bacterial infections and should not therefore be used in the case of viral or fungal infections.
The medication is available in either 250mg capsules, 200mg tablets or palatable drops for easy administration to suit your pet’s needs. It should always be used as directed by your vet.
How does Amoxycare Capsules work?
The active ingredient in Amoxycare Capsules is Amoxicillin Trihydrate, which is a type of penicillin antibiotic. This is effective in treating bacterial infections, and may be effective against many different strains of microorganisms. It’s because of this that the antibiotic is called a ‘broad-spectrum’ type.
Instructions for Amoxycare Capsules
When you receive the medication, it’s important to read and understand the dosage instructions. The strength and dose of the tablet will depend on the size of your dog or cat and the exact details of their condition or infection.
