Description

Each pack contains 4 pipettes which have been developed specifically for dogs. If you have another animal that is suffering from a parasitic infestation then be sure to request the medication suitable for your animal.

This medicine should never be used in cats.

The product is also waterproof, so your dog can still have some light water exposure such as bathing and swimming without hindering the treatment. However, a lot of water exposure should still be avoided where possible so it's recommended to wash your dog before applying Advantix or at least 2 weeks after application.

How does Advantix work?

The active ingredients in Advantix is imidacloprid and permethrin.

For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations in dogs only. Fleas on dogs are killed within one day following treatment. One treatment prevents further flea infestation for four weeks.

The product has a persistent acaricidal and repellent efficacy against tick infestations (Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus for four weeks, and Dermacentor reticulatus for three weeks).

Ticks already on the dog may not be killed within two days after treatment and may remain attached and visible. Therefore the removal of ticks already on the dog at the time of treatment is recommended, in order to prevent them from attaching and having a blood meal.

For the treatment of biting lice

One treatment provides repellent (anti-feeding) activity against sand flies, mosquitoes and stable flies

Instructions for Advantix

When you receive the medication, it’s important to read and understand the dosage instructions. The strength and dose of the medication will depend on the size of your dog.

Always use medications as directed by your vet. The waterproof spot-on solution should be applied evenly (2-3 spots on small and medium dogs and 3-4 spots on large and extra large dogs). Application is easiest if your dog is standing, where you can then apply Advantix on the top of the back from the shoulder to the base of the tail. Make sure to apply the product directly to the skin so part the hair before applying. Please note, this product should not be used on puppies less than 7 weeks of age or weighing less than 1.5kg.

How to order Advantix

Advantix is a prescription-only medication, which means you will first need a valid prescription from a vet before your order will be dispatched. You can still add the item to your basket, checkout and pay but we won’t be able to send the order out until we’ve received the prescription.

Start by getting a prescription from a vet and then place your order for the recommended medication. Our team will check the prescription against the item ordered to ensure its suitability. Once this has been approved, your order will be dispatched from our pharmacy to your chosen delivery method.
