Seresto Flea and Tick Control Collar is used to protect your pet from infestation of fleas, ticks and lice. It offers a very convenient alternative to tablets or spot-on solutions as it is wearable and lasts for up to 8 months.

It’s a dual-action formula so the collar not only kills fleas and ticks, but it also helps to repel them to prevent bites. The collar is not only convenient but also odourless and water resistant.

This treatment is suitable for both cats and dogs and can be used in cats from the age of 10 weeks and dogs from the age of 7 weeks.

How does Seresto Flea and Tick Control Collar work?

The active ingredients in Seresto Flea and Tick Control Collar are imidacloprid and flumethrin, as it is a dual-action treatment.

The imidacloprid works to kill all adult fleas as well as their larvae (to break the life cycle and prevent further infestation), while the flumethrin is an effective repellent that not only kills ticks but also prevents them from biting in the first place. This is particularly useful as ticks can carry diseases that can be transmitted to your pet when they bite.

Instructions for Seresto Flea and Tick Control Collar

When you receive the medication, it’s important to read and understand the dosage instructions. The dose of the medicine may depend on your animal and the exact details of their condition.

The collar is easy to fit and is a neutral colour to nicely blend in with your pet’s fur. It should be fitted securely, as a normal collar would be, around the neck. The size of the collar required will depend on the breed of your pet (cat or dog) and also their size.
